FINE BRASS BOUND 19TH CENTURY ROSEWOOD WRITING BOX. Rectangular box has brass corners and straps. A top inlaid brass banner “Stephen Gammett Presented by Van den Bergh Fils”. Box has a hinged lid which opens to reveal an oval mirror which is hinged and has letter file behind. Two secret drawers behind. Bottom section with fitted compartment including a brass sander, inkwell and pen tray. Bottom section also with a hinged pull over writing area and small storage compartment below. Key is present. SIZE: 6” h x 19-1/2” x 11-1/2”. CONDITION: Some repaired splits and splits present. 9-71796 (500-1,000)
