ANTIQUE WINCHESTER MODEL 1892 LEVER ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 32WCF (32-20). Standard grade rifle with 24” round bbl, full magazine, uncheckered wood with nicely figured straight stock and crescent steel buttplate. Bbl has half nickel front sight and semi-buckhorn rear sight. Accompanied by a Cody Firearms Museum yellow sheet identifying this rifle with shipping date of 3/11/1893. SN 8391. CONDITION: Very fine. Bbl and magazine tube retain 95-96% strong bright original blue. Receiver retains about 95% original blue with light flaking on both sides with some white spotting on the bottom and an area of light surface rust on the rear edges. Lever retains 75-80% case colors fading on the edges, bright in sheltered areas on the side. Hammer retains about 90% bright case colors. Buttplate retains about 65-70% faded case colors and the foreend cap, 95% blue. Brilliant shiny bore. 4-48811 JR618 (2,500-3,500)
