LANCASTER COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA PAINT DECORATED CORNER CUPBOARD, PROBABLY STRASBURG. The molded cornice fitted to the conforming case of two paneled doors; the rectangular top door having two panels. The upper rectangular, the lower square, each opening to an interior fitted with shelves, the door interiors painted salmon, the panels chamfered. The whole raised on applied molded base with bracket feet centering an arcaded arched apron. The original grain painted surfaces on a mustard/cream base simulating tiger and figured maple. PROVENANCE: Jim Burk to Newsome & Berdan, to the current owner. SIZE: 82”h x 45”case width x 27”d. CONDITION: Very fine original paint surfaces showing wonderful wear with no structural issues observed, the brass latches later additions. 9-90725 LG (6,000-8,000)
