CARVED MAHOGANY CLASSICAL SOFA WITH BRASS INLAY. Well carved sculpted scroll arms, a scroll shaped back having a center carved panel with flame mahogany and carved leaves with acorns. Front legs in paw form with well carved leaf and roundel carving. The sofa has an interesting and decorative feature of brass spiral rope inlay throughout and brass pin tack decoration at acorns and scroll tips. Newly upholstered in Schumacher fabric in the Empire Green pattern. Accompanying sofa are two cylinder pillows. PROVENANCE: From a Downeast, Maine Collection.
