*WINCHESTER MODEL 71 DELUXE CARBINE. Cal. 348. Fine deluxe carbine with 20” tapered round bbl, ramp front sight with hood, slot filler in the rear dovetail with an original bolt peep, 2/3 magazine, checkered wood with beavertail forearm and capped pistol grip stock with checkered steel buttplate. Stock and foreend cap have deluxe swivel bases. This is the 2nd type with short tang and long comb. SN 22396. CONDITION: Fine to very fine. Bbl and magazine tube retain 96-98% strong bright original blue. Receiver retains about 70% bright shiny original blue turned gray on the bottom. Wood is sound with the stock retaining 95-96% bright original varnish with the checkering worn smooth. Forearm retains about 75% bright original varnish with the checkering showing wear.
