*WINCHESTER MODEL 1886 LEVER ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 45-90. Standard grade rifle with 26” round bbl, full magazine, uncheckered wood with straight grip and checkered steel shotgun buttplate. Left side of bbl and left side of receiver has post-war WWII British proofs. Right side of bbl at the chamber has an unfamiliar proof with the British broad arrow. Bolt is also proofed. Right side of buttstock has a large British broad arrow mark. SN 152923. CONDITION: Very good. Bbl and magazine tube retain about 90% blue turning plum. Receiver is bright metal with scattered fine pitting. Wood is sound and retains most of a very old light refinish. Bright shiny bore with some scattered fine pitting. 4-48644 JR548 (2,750-3,750)
