UNSIGNED (19th/20th Century) RIDING THE STORM. Oil on canvas mounted on board scene shows a brown horse with man in black coat with what appears to be a helmet. A second horse is behind him. The scene is wind swept in gray and light shades. The horse appears to be struggling against the wind. The scene is reminiscent of Oscar Berninghaus’s paintings of similar subjects. Housed in a black painted antique wood frame. There is pencil writing on the back of the board which we can not decipher. SIZE: 5-1/4” x 6”. CONDITION: 9-26540 (500-750)
