FINE CARVED AND PAINTED WOOD CREEL BY E. ROBICHAUD OF MEDWAY, MAINE. Slat sided with a sloped top fitted with fish formed leather hinges and front strap. Top has an oval hole and painted design of fishing flies and spruce gum nuts. Also “Marty”. Front has two carved opposing brook trout painted in realistic colors. Bottom signed “E. Robichaud Medway, Maine 1977”. A fine example of this craftsman’s work. SIZE: 7-1/2” h x 14-1/2” at widest x 6” d. CONDITION: Very good. 9-71440 (1,000-1,500)
