FINE SHERATON CARVED AND INLAID MAHOGANY SERPENTINE CARD TABLE ATTRIBUTED TO WILLIAM HOOK, SALEM, MASS. The rectangular hinged top with ogival corners, the edges string inlaid above the conforming frieze inlaid with a central bird’s eye maple oval patera within a rectangular string inlaid panel with fan spandrels raised on four ring turned tapering reeded cylindrical legs headed by carved water leaves, the cuffs ring turned, on turnip feet.
