DELUXE WINCHESTER MODEL 1886 LEVER ACTION RIFLE.

DELUXE WINCHESTER MODEL 1886 LEVER ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 45-90. Fine deluxe 86 with 26” oct bbl, full magazine, half nickel front sight and long blade ladder rear sight. Tang is mounted with an early Lyman sight. Wood is 3-4X with checkered forearm and black insert pistol grip stock with crescent steel buttplate. Accompanied by a Cody Firearms Museum yellow sheet identifying this rifle as having been shipped 11/23/1892. SN 73074. CONDITION: Good. Bbl retains about 75% plum blue/brown, magazine tube is mostly a mottled silver with some fine pitting. Receiver is silvered case colors and gray metal with fine pitting on the right side. Wood is sound with a repaired chip at the top left tang and retains a dark oil stained finish on the forearm and about 75-80% original piano varnish finish on the buttstock.
