*“ADAMS EXPRESS CO.” MARKED WINCHESTER MODEL 97 PUMP SHOTGUN. Cal. 12 ga. SN 460595. Scarce solid frame Model 97 with original 20” cylinder bore bbl, missing its bead. It has uncheckered wood, with round ribbed forearm and semi-pistol grip stock and Winchester hard rubber buttplate. The left front edge of the receiver is stamped vertically “ADAMS EX CO”. CONDITION: About good. Bbl retains 70-75% original blue with a dent out near the muzzle that appears to have been partially hammered out. Magazine tube is a silver brown patina with nicks, scratches & dents. Receiver is an even plum/brown patina with some light nicks & scratches. Stock has repaired crack in the wrist and a large chip from the toe & buttplate with modified grip and a round ribbed forearm. Mechanics are fine, strong bright bore with scattered fine pitting.
