FINE MASSACHUSETTS CLASSICAL MAHOGANY CARD TABLE. Circa 1830. The figured mahogany ‘D’-form hinged top swiveling above the conforming molded frieze joined to the ‘urn’-form turned standard, well carved with acanthus leaves, with a gadrooned base on a conforming deep plinth joined to outswept molded and reeded legs with scrolled volutes, terminating in brass clawfoot-capped casters. SIZE: 29″ h. x 36-1/4″ w. x 17-1/2″ d. PROVENANCE: From a fine Beacon Hill, Boston, MA and Thomaston, ME Estate. CONDITION: Very good original condition with fine patina and chocolate brown color. The veneers well matched and figured. Legs have old iron strap reinforcements beneath base. 9-93572 (1,000-1,500)
