ORIENTAL FIRESCREEN. Gorgeous Oriental fire screen has hand carved wooden frame with Oriental geometric design surrounding the frame. The frame houses a black enamel panel, that on one side is mounted with delicately carved jade figures. One figure is a light green jade vase on a dark green jade pedestal, another depicts a box wrapped with a bow, one is white jade depicting two birds face to face on a delicately carved wooden stand and the final is an Oriental man atop a carved wooden stand. The reverse side of the screen has a beautifully enameled stylistic scene with Oriental houses, mountains, streams and people. The framed panel sets inside an elaborately carved wooden base. SIZE: Overall 39” w x 35” t. CONDITION: Some minor wear to wood finish, otherwise very good to excellent. 5-71734 (2,000-4,000)
