*1936 S/42 LUGER. Cal. 9mm. All blued with 4” bbl, full checkered wood grips. Accompanied by a stainless body Naval magazine with wood base having concentric rings and serial number 1559. Also accompanies is a blue bodied Haenel aluminum base magazine with the serial number 2846 and has the number 3 as well as eagle “S” proof. Also accompanying is a 1939 black leather holster with unmarked takedown tool in the flap pocket. Further accompanied by the original war trophy paper dated 8 November 1945 to Frank A. Peltier. SN 6686. CONDITION: All matching except the grips, which are unnumbered and the magazines as previously noted. Overall it retains about 95% strong original blue with light muzzle wear and fine edge wear. Grips are very fine with slight diamond point wear, a couple of gouges and a small chip on the left side. Bore is very bright and shiny and in need of cleaning. Holster shows considerable wear and was dyed a long time ago. The pocket flap cover is a replacement. 4-47784 JR507 (1,250-1,750)
