OUTSTANDING HAND MADE WOODEN HORSE DRAWN WAGON. Late 19th/early 20th Century. Finely detailed “Lead and Glass Warehouse” horse drawn wagon features two carved wood horses, with horse hair tails, and original leather trappings with medallions marked “WJE”, pulling a hand painted delivery wagon in brown, and red, with black and yellow highlights. Hand stenciled “J.B. Robinson 31 Moor Lane”, “Lead & Glass Warehouse”, and “Express Van”. Driven by a paper Mache gentleman with burlap and felt clothing. Other highlights include, original tin bucket hanging from underside and back hinged gate affixed to routed wooden base. SIZE: Toy Measures approx. 30” l. X 16” h. CONDITION: Overall generally good. Leather trappings are deteriorated and frail. Horse’s manes are missing as are some minor pieces. Wagon shows wear commensurate with age (cracked and/or repaired spokes and wheels).
