PENNSYLVANIA CHIPPENDALE CARVED MAHOGANY ARMCHAIR. The cyma curved crest with rolled ears above the bold vasiform splat, the molded stiles joined to shaped arms with volute carved terminals on incurvate supports centering a trapezoidal slip seat with shaped front rail raised on frontal cabriole legs terminating in trifid feet, the rear legs tenoned, cylindrical and raked. SIZE: 40” h of back, 17” h of seat. CONDITION: Professionally refinished and restored with no visible repairs. 9-74264 MD (4,000-6,000)
