ENCHANTING OIL ON PANEL. Young mother and child by a well-know female artist, Ida Waugh, signed and titled on the reverse “Young Mother by Ida Waugh, 4100 Pine St., Philadelphia, Penna”. Lovely painting depicts a young, very attractive blond mother in a blue dress with white buckles holding a darling small infant in white bunting. Waugh was well-known for her much reproduced image of a group of small children used on the Hood Sasparilla ad. Framed in the original gilt frame and titled on the front “Ida Waugh”. SIZE: 6-1/2″ w x 8-3/4″ h. CONDITION: Painting is in very nice condition with the frame having numerous imperfections. 5-68002 (2,500-3,500)
