LOT OF TWO GERMAN BISQUE HEAD DOLLS. a) 13-1/2″, (34 cm), KESTNER child. This shoulderhead incised “Dep. 154. 1-1/2″, with blue glass sleep eyes, open mouth with four upper teeth, on a white kid body, with bisque forearms, joints at the hips, and gussets at the knee. She is well dressed in a black and white print dress, antique brown mohair wig, black stockings, lacking shoes. CONDITION: Very good, slight uneven color on right cheek. b) 15-1/2”, (39 cm), “Belton”-type doll, incised “137” with solid dome head, closed mouth, brown paperweight eyes, pierced ears, on original fully-jointed wood and composition body with straight wrists, with original finish. She has been re-costumed in a two-piece sailor-type outfit, with newer brown mohair wig, and original antique brown leather slippers.
