THEOPHILE SCHNEIDER (American, 1872-1960) “THE GUARDIAN OF THE VALLEY”. Large oil on canvas scene shows large pine trees on a snow covered bluff overlooking a large winding river with low snow covered mountain peaks in background. Signed lower left “Theo. Schneider”. Housed in its original molded wood gilt frame with title and artist plaque. Back frame has two exhibition tags, one from Pennsylvania, the other is unknown. SIZE: 40” x 30”. CONDITION: Generally very good with some professional repairs with inpainting. 9-28947 (2000-3000)
