31″, (79 CM), LARGE TÉTE JUMEAU BÉBÉ. Fully marked child with head stamped in red “Depose Téte Jumeau 14”, and a blue stamp on the body “BÉBÉ JUMEAU Diplome D’Honneur”. She has huge bulbous brown paperweight eyes, applied ears, closed mouth with gentle shading and highlights to the lips, on her original fully-jointed wooden composition body, with fat stubby fingers. The costume consists of burgundy and black striped silk dress with huge puff sleeves, with high Victorian neckline. She has simple white cotton undergarments, newer black cotton stockings, but original leather shoes impressed on the soles “14 PARIS DEPOSE” (Bee mark). The wig is a later ladies wig made of blonde acrylic over cardboard pate. CONDITION: Head is in excellent condition, body in very good condition considering age and materials with only minimal typical wear. 1-7318 RS (3,500-4,500)
