TWO PART ANTIQUE IRISH/ENGLISH CHEST ON FRAME. Top section having two doors with brass escutcheon plates and lock behind (key is present). Interior fitted with eight drawers comprising of six half drawers and two full drawers all having brass bale handle hardware and two fitted with locks. Each drawer with dovetailed construction. Case is dovetailed and constructed of fine wood. The base having tall cabriole carved legs ending in claw feet with leaf carved knees. The front frieze fitted with one long dovetailed drawer and having a scalloped shell and flower decorated apron. SIZE: 59-1/2” h x 39” at widest x top case 36” w. CONDITION: Some restoration, slight corner warp to door. Otherwise very good. 9-70582 (2,500-3,500)
