DAUM SHOOTING CUP. Rare enamel and cameo decoration of a single rooster, a single Spyre, thistle and leaf decoration and King’s crest with crown above. Cameo and enamel “XIII CONCOURS NATIONAL ET INTERNATIONAL DE TIR . NANCY 1906” is on the rim of the coupe. On the underside of the coupe is “VIGILAT” and on the foot is “QUI S’Y FROTTE S’Y PIQUE” also in cameo and enamel. The entire piece has gold gilt decoration all over. Signed on the underside “Daum Nancy” with Cross of Lorraine. Pictured in Blount’s book French Cameo Glass, page 77, figure 107. SIZE: 4-1/2” t x 4” w.
