WINCHESTER MODEL 1866 LEVER ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 44RF Henry. Standard rifle with 24” oct bbl, full magazine, uncheckered wood with straight stock and crescent brass buttplate with trap. Replacement silver blade Rocky Mountain front sight with a Henry style ladder rear sight. Top flat of the bbl is stamped “H6” in small letters. Buttstock has a factory sling loop and the forearm a replacement sling loop. SN 36345. CONDITION: Fair. No original finish remains. Iron being cleaned to white with scattered heavy pitting and heavy pitting on the hammer and lever. Receiver is worn and polished with numerous small nicks and scratches. Hammer screw is a replacement. Wood is sound, dark and oil stained showing heavy wear, missing a small sliver from the forearm with a repaired crack on each side. Strong bore with some shine and pitting. Lever and bolt will not open all the way. Lever lock is a replacement and the rear ladder sight blade is broken and missing, the loading gate is not correct. 4-48633 (2,750-3,750)
