FINE AND RARE NORTHWEST COAST KNIFE. Steel shaped blade inset into a carved ivory/bone handle. Two steel pins fastened the inserted blade. Pommel carved in the form of totemic characters including eagle, man and others. There are round abalone shell inserts for eyes and nose of the lowest character. Nice age patina with age lines. Probably Tlingit, 19th Century. SIZE: 12-1/2” l x top being 1-1/2” w. CONDITION: Very good. 9-70984 (4,000-6,000)
