TWO WHALE OIL LAMPS. Lot consists of two interesting whale oil lamps. The first is done in brass with relief decoration of raised hearts around the shoulder with a band around the body with central cartouche and stylized dolphins. The foot is decorated with raised stylized leaves. The hinged top opens to reveal a small single-tube burner. The second is a nice clear glass peg lamp with vertically ribbed body, pewter collar and burner plate, double brass tubes, and pewter snuffers. The peg lamp rests in a brass candle holder with ornate cast feet and finger loop and stamped brass candle cup. SIZE: Each 6-1/2″ h. CONDITION: Peg lamp candle holder needs solder repair to cross-brace. Otherwise lot is very good. 5-67245 (100-300)
