RARE AND SCARCE SHARPS CARTRIDGE BOX. This very rare and scarce box is 4-3/4” long, 2-7/16” wide x 1-1/4” deep. Black label with gold lettering and lime-green band. Label has a picture of an engraved sharps 4 bbl. derringer with the lettering across the top in two lines, “100 Superior Size No. 2 Pistol Cartridges /Manufactured by C. Sharps & Co.___PHILADA.”and in smaller lettering down the right side in five lines, “To Insure Accurate Shooting, These Balls are Greased. Care should be taken to keep them so.” CONDITION: Label is completely intact with some very minor nicks to the edges and three small nicks in the label, not affecting the image, although in some places the lettering is faded and faint. Lid has three broken corners with fuzzed edges, otherwise is completely intact with some minor soiling. An extremely rare box. 4-47872-397 JR682 (2,000-3,000)
