NEW ENGLAND SHERATON PINE CORNER CUPBOARD IN TWO PARTS. Circa 1840. The molded cornice with canted corners projecting above the upper case, fitted with a pair of two-panel glass doors opening to an interior fitted with two shelves, fitted to the lower case of two arched-panel doors above a scalloped apron. The interior retains original chartreuse paint. SIZE: 84″ h. x 40″ w. x 27-1/2″ d. PROVENANCE: From an East Sangerville, Maine private collection. Acquired from Robert Hall, Dover-Foxcroft, Maine in the 1950/60’s by the present owner’s parents. CONDITION: With earlier professional refinishing, now a honey brown color with nice patina. Molded cornice is a later addition. Original glass panels, one with crack. Shrinkage cracks to lower case doors. 9-94679 (1,500-3,000)
