PAIR OF SEVRES HANDLED VASES. Late 19th/early 20th Century vases are hand painted with a romantic scene depicting young maidens served by putti in pastoral scene with the reverse depicting classical ruins. Each vase has gilt heightened scrolling decoration on the bases, having scrolling mask handles raised on square brass plinths with in-curved corners having beaded and carved leaftip edges. Marked on the underside with Sevres cipher, absent date and artist marking, “France” in blue print. SIZE: 15-3/4″ t. CONDITION: Very good, handles are loose. 9-90040 (2,000-4,000)
