CARL KAUBA (Austrian/American, 1865-1922) SCOUT ON REARING HORSE. Polychrome bronze shows a western cowboy with extended arm having a six-shooter on a rearing horse resting on its back two legs. With colorful saddle, red waist sash to cowboy. Horse on a naturalistic bronze ground which is numbered “5605” and signed “Geschutzt”. Also numbered underneath with a double handled bottle with a B and Geschutzt. Bronze is mounted on a pink marble rectangular slab. PROVENANCE: From a Pennsylvania Estate. SIZE: Bronze is 9-1/2” h x 9” l. CONDITION: Very good. 9-29386 (2000-4000)
