WILLIAM M. HART (American, 1823-1894) “NORMANSKILL”. Watercolor scene shows tree lined river having two figures in rowboat and two figures on grassy bank with large trees. Signed “W. Hart 1848” and having watercolored title below. Normanskill Creek is a stream that borders Albany and Bethlehem, New York and empties into the Hudson after flowing around the west side of Castle Island. This was possibly used as an illustration in a local history book. Housed in a fine Hudson River style reproduction frame with wide linen matte. SIGHT SIZE: 9” x 6-1/2”.
