FINE JAPANESE TEMPLE GUN. Cal. .80. 20-3/4” cannon shaped bbl. The number 1549 on the stock is from the U.S. Cartridge Company collection. The bbl is inlayed with a large dragon at the rear, which in turn is inlayed with silver eyes and spots on its body. The front 16” of the bbl is overlaid with gold Damascened figures, animals and geometric designs. The muzzle is likewise decorated in a similar manner. The ramrod is missing. The is a 2-character mark on the right side of the stock and a 3-character mark on the left. The stock is plain with no inlays. CONDITION: Fine overall with no loss to the inlay or overlay. Minor marks on the wood. Action is fine. 4-52653 FS121 (1,000-1,500)
