HORACE BUNDY (American, 1814-1883) FOLK ART PORTRAIT OF A YOUNG CHILD. Oil on canvas laid on panel shows a half portrait of a child. The child gazes left and holds hands at chest. Background is a blue and yellow tinted sky. Housed in an oval modern gilt frame with greenish/blue matte. Bundy was active in New Hampshire and Vermont in the 1840’ & 50’s and had a particular Folk Art style. SIZE: 19-1/2” h x 13-1/2”. CONDITION: Craquelure, restored with inpainting, some lifting. 9-71853 (2,250-2,750)
