UNSIGNED (English, 18th/19th Century) THE FISHERMAN. Collage picture shows a fisherman wearing red pants, brown coat, black hat and holding a carp in both hands while a long handled fish net rests on shoulders. The man stands amongst rocks and bushes under a blue sky. The man’s outfit is in fabric, the hat and face are watercolor, the shoes and some net parts are in paper. Housed in a gilt molded wood frame. On the back “From the Collection of Daniel B. Fearing 1918” and also dated “1790” above. SIGHT SIZE: 10-1/2” x 8-1/2”.
