PHILADELPHIA HALF STOCK RIFLE WITH SPURIOUS DERINGER MARKINGS. NSN. Cal. 36, 39-3/4″ oct. bbl marked “DERINGE /PHI” on the lockplate and “DERINGER/PHILA” on the bbl. Nipple is replaced. Fancy Philadelphia patchbox has a release button in the toeplate. It has been divided into two compartments inside and the rear is full of grease. Lower buttplate screw is stripped out. CONDITION: Gray-brown patina over all with areas of light surface rust and pitting. One sizeable dent on the top of the bbl just in front of the breech. Hammer and nipple are replacements. Stock has been cracked and repaired through the front bbl. key. Otherwise, fine. 4-47204 FS669 (1,000-2,000)
