CARL KAUBA (Austrian/American, 1865-1922) INDIAN CHIEF ON HORSEBACK. Finely modeled figure of an Indian with feathered headdress looking back holding gun in left hand and small whip in right hand. He sits top a standing horse that looks slightly to the right. Naturalistic ground base. Signed “C Kauba” . Old brown patina singed at end of ground “Geschutzt 6254”. Bronze is mounted to a polished top rough sided rock. PROVENANCE: From a Pennsylvania Estate. SIZE: Bronze is 12-3/4” h x 11-1/2” l. 14-3/4” total h. CONDITION: Very good. 9-29384 (3000-5000)
