CARINGTON BOWLES (British, Publisher, 18th Century) “THE FEMALE FOX HUNTER” AND “AN OFFICER IN THE LIGHT INFANTRY DRIVEN BY HIS LADY TO KOX-HEATH”. One numbered plate 387, the other plate 391. Both published in 1778. Well colored with nice bright coloring. One shows a woman on a white horse leaping a gate with dogs and other riders. The other shows a woman with whip driving a small carriage with a man. Identically housed in ebonized molded wood frames with gilt liners. Label of Ellis & Smith Print Sellers, London on back.
