VERY RARE PECARE & SMITH PEPPERBOX. Cal. 33. SN: 36. Four shots. 3″ rnd bbl, marked “PECARE & SMITH’S / PATENT 1849 / NEW-YORK” on the bbl. Only a few of these were made. CONDITION: Gray patina with one patch of heavy pitting on the bbl and spots of light surface rust and pitting elsewhere. Grips have rust stains. Mechanically needs work. 4-52994 FS248 (500-1,000)
