AFTER THOMAS COLE (American, 19th Century) “ADAM & EVE IN THE GARDEN OF EDEN”. The original work, painted in 1828 with the same title, now resides at the Amon Carter Museum in Fort Worth, Texas. The oil on canvas scene shows Adam and Eve on a grassy knoll looking out over Eden with waterfall, animals, and a bucolic landscape. Housed in a fine period lemon gold frame. SIZE: 23” x 30”.
