Possibly all original French closed mouth child with blue paperweight eyes, closed mouth with slight parting of the lips, pierced ears, mounted on fully jointed French, wood and composition body with straight wrists and wearing a burgundy silk and maroon velvet dress with lace overlay, burgundy socks, and unmarked French black leather shoes, as well as the original French blond mohair wig over cardboard pate. This is a rare opportunity to buy an unusual French doll that has characteristics of Schmitt, Jumeau as well as Steiner. The body is more Schmitt like than any of the other makers, although not typical, nor signed. SIZE: 23″ (58cm).
