VERY RARE BOX FOR ROBBINS & LAWRENCE PEPPERBOX. Fine 2-pc box, 9-3/4” long x 4” wide x 1-3/8” deep. It apparently has a green cardboard body covered with blue & white paper. There is a large dark blue label with gold printing on the lid which states, “PATENT REVOLVING HAMMER / PISTOL; / MANUFACTURED BY / The Robbins and Lawrence Company, / Winsor, Vermont / POWDER FLASK, / WITH BALL MOULD, / WIPER & WRENCH”. The end of the lid and the bottom have old quill script letters “Apr. 1853” on the lid and “Apr. 1853” on the bottom. CONDITION: Fine plus. Slightly worn edges and fuzzed corners with some light soil, but completely intact and usable. A very rare box. 4-52019 JR684 (1,000-1,500)
