EARLY AMERICAN PINE AND BIRCH HUTCH IN RED WASH. First quarter 19th century. Probably Maine, the rectangular one-piece cabinet with three open fixed shelves above a pair of paneled cupboard doors opening to an interior of two shelves. SIZE: 87″ h. x 54″ w. x 13-1/2″ d. PROVENANCE: The Estate of Chad Richards, Camden, Maine. CONDITION: Very good overall, cabinet at one time probably had upper doors evidenced by screw holes for hinges. Remnants of original paint showing at back beneath red wash. 9-94712 (2,500-4,500)
