WHITNEY-SCHARF LEVER ACTION SPORTING RIFLE. Cal. 32 WCF (32-20). SN 1533. Standard grade rifle with 24″ tapered rnd bbl, full magazine, scallop side receiver, top ejecting with spring loaded loading gate, uncheckered wood with straight stock & semi-crescent buttplate. CONDITION: Fair to good. No orig finish remains being a medium gray/brown patina overall with spots of light surface rust on the receiver. Forearm has hairlines and a loose splinter over the ejection port spring area, otherwise the wood is sound with usual handling & use marks showing heavy wear with most of an old refinish. Lever latch is missing. Mechanics are fine, worn dark bore. From the collection of the late Bruce McDowell. 4-54581 JR147 (500-800)
