ASSEMBLED FLINTLOCK MUSKET. Cal. 85. 41-7/8” stepped bbl with British proofs at the rear. The banana lock is marked “P / BOLSTER”. The wood appears to be unfinished or roughly shaped. There is no buttplate. The iron triggerguard is nailed to the stock and the bbl tang screw apparently enters through the bottom of the stock. The lockplate is not inletted into the wood and the internal parts are visible through the gaps in the outside. The ramrod is missing. CONDITION: Extremely heavy pitting at the breech with heavy crusty rust elsewhere. Minor chips on the stock. Lock works. 4-52630 FS113 (1,500-2,500)
