PAIRPOINT PUFFY TABLE LAMP. Rare mid-size table lamp commonly referred to as a Torino shade is reverse painted as well as having blown-out peonies over the entire shade. Colors are lovely yellow and cranberry with green foliage and represent the flower in several stages of bloom. Shade also has reverse painted herringbone pattern throughout. Obverse has gold gilt trim on rim edges. Shade is signed “The Pairpoint Corp.” Shade rests on four prong ornately decorated original Pairpoint base. Marked on the underside “Pairpoint Mfg. Co. B2053” and “P” in a diamond. PROVENANCE: Collection of Ed & Sheila Malakoff. SIZE: Shade is 9-1/2” dia. Overall height 16”. CONDITION: Very good to excellent with very minor roughness to rim. Base is very good to excellent with slight wear to paint. 5-63062 (6,000-8,000)
