EARLY ONE DRAWER LIFT TOP BLANKET CHEST IN RED. The pine chest has a molded edge top held on by with pinned side cleats. Simulated two top drawers with one actual long drawer having early brasses which are not complete. Cutout feet and bottom edge molding. Brass escutcheon plate is present over a repaired and filled lock plate section. Old, possibly original antique red finish. PROVENANCE: From a Newburyport, Massachusetts home. SIZE: 33” h x case 37” w x 18” d. CONDITION: Some repairs but generally in very good condition with some old scarring to top. 9-28514 (1500-2500)
