CHIPPENDALE CHERRY TWO PART CHEST ON CHEST. Top section having a pierce carved and lattice work open bonnet with elaborately carved center finial and turned end finials. The case having three short drawers and four graduated long drawers, each fitted with oval brass handles. Center small drawer having a carved pinwheel with brass pull. Bottom section having a molded upper edge and four graduated long drawers supported by a molded base raised on original ogee bracket feet. Chapin or Chapin School, Hartford, Connecticut area. Fourth quarter of the 18th C. SIZE: 39-1/2” w top case x 16-1/2” d. 41” bottom case w x 17-1/2” d. 92” h to top of finial. CONDITION: Very good. 9-70627 (10,000-15,000)
