CASED MODEL OF AN AMERICAN ARMED MERCHANT SHIP. Second quarter 20th century. This unnamed fully rigged model with three masts, standing and running rigging, and walnut plank deck on frame construction over solid hull, with deck cannons, carronades, wheel, wheelhouse, hatches and grates, windlass and capstan, lifeboats, figurehead, and galleried stern. Mounted on a plinth with cast dolphins. Fitted within a custom mahogany and glass case. SIZE: MODEL: 30″ h. x 35″ l. x 9″ w. CASE: 41″ h. x 45″ l. x 17″ w. CONDITION: Model needs minor adjustments, case needs tightening. Otherwise very good. 9-93234 (1,000-2,000)
