*SEDGLEY SPORTERIZED SPRINGFIELD RIFLE. Cal. 30-06. SN 165. Typical Sedgley sporter with 24” tapered rnd bbl, sleeve ramp front sight with hood, no rear sight and a Lyman 48S receiver sight. It is mounted in a typical Sedgley stock of nicely figured walnut with Schnable tipped forearm having two triangle shaped checkered panels and a checkered capped pistol grip with checkered Winchester style steel buttplate. It has narrow European style sling swivels. The top of the bbl has the usual Sedgley markings and proof mark. CONDITION: Extremely fine. Bbl and receiver retain 96-98% strong bright original blue. Trigger guard and floorplate retain most of their original blue with light pinpoint rust on the floorplate. Wood is sound with a couple of deep scratches on the forestock and butt stock and the butt has a long narrow bruise, otherwise retains most of its original oil finish.
