SMITH & WESSON #3 RUSSIAN 1ST MODEL REVOLVER. Cal. 44 Russian. Standard Russian model with 7” keyhole ribbed bbl with Cyrillic address, pinned front sight, smooth 2-pc walnut grips with a lanyard loop in the butt and inspectors initials on the various parts with the two headed Russian eagle and “KO” proof on top of the bbl. Grips are numbered 5273. SN 3346. CONDITION: Good, traces of finish turned plum only in the sheltered areas with the balance cleaned and beginning to patinate with moderate pitting over most of the revolver. Grips are sound, dark and oil stained. Bore is bright and shiny with a few spots of rust. Mechanics are fine. 4-47939 JR28 (Anderson Collection) (1,750-2,750)
