*WINCHESTER PRE-WAR MODEL 70 BOLT ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 220 Swift. SN 22901. Standard grade rifle with 26” stainless steel bbl, ramp front sight with hood and slot blank in the rear seat. The rear receiver bridge and chamber area of the bbl are drilled and tapped for a saddle scope mount and the rear bridge has a third hole for a Redfield mount. It is mounted in 1- pc walnut stock with large checkered panels on the forestock and grip and it has checkered steel buttplate. It also has factory sling swivels. CONDITION: Fine overall with the bbl and receiver retaining most of its original factory finish. Trigger guard and floorplate retain about 90% bright original blue. Stock is sound with light use and handling marks, a plugged compass hole in the comb and a series of scratches on the bottom of the forearm otherwise retains 85-90% original varnish. Mechanics are fine, bright shiny bore. Would be a good shooter. 4-52935 JR434 (750-1,250)
